Yes green tea can help.
There are other things you can do to help:
Apply a cold compress for 10 minutes 

Tea tree oil will reduce inflammation -  be careful though because it will sting VERY badly for a minute or two after it is applied and the area will go quite red for about 10-20 minutes but then there will be a dramatic improvement in the inflammation and it will return to a normal skin colour.

It is safe to go swimming, but it might help if you apply a thick mosturizer to the area half an hour before to ensure there is no irratation.</description>

i think after 24 hrs you should be fine to go swimming. as far as the tea goes...no idea. try using placing a cool cloth on the area several times a day.</description>
