Fox News has, in dozens of instances, provided attendance and organizing information for future protests, such as protest dates, locations and website URLs.

Fox News websites have also posted information and publicity material for protests. Fox News hosts have repeatedly encouraged viewers to join them at several April 15 protests that they are attending and covering (view compilation).

Fox News isn’t the only right-wing organization involved in building up these so-called “grassroots” events. The tea parties have been heavily backed by corporate lobbyists.

The principle organizers of many of the local events are actually the lobbyist-run think tanks Americans for Prosperity, Freedom Works, and Newt Gingrich’s American Solutions. The groups are heavily staffed and well funded, and are providing all the logistical and public relations work necessary for planning coast-to-coast protests.

Its not just partisan, its insidious.

No, it was strictly for Obama-hating Republicans. If these people are so concerned over government spending, why did they rush to form a wall of human shields around George W. Bush any time anyone questioned his actions for 8 years, even though he blew up the national debt from $5.7 to $10.6 trillion?

It was a non-partisan event. This fox news garbage is ignorant. they had nothing to do with any of the gatherings. the first answerer sounds like scripted MoveOn.org or White House rhetoric. And Edward’s a moron.

I’m a democrat by the way.

Atlanta had no such partasin probelms at their rally, I have not heard of any partisan probelsm at any rally. IF you have post a link that is not msnbc or any other mainstrem news, eye on the ground would be better report than any news outlet.

I didn’t see a single Democrat attacked, other than Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and his lordship Obama. WHY? Because they are the ones spending us into oblivion. I also saw general bashes against all of Congress.

Oh, but I also live in a serious red state, so I assume it was more red than many other places.

i have no clue what your are talking about. i saw no such attacks and i noted that you posted no link to support your rant.

this was made up of the majority of Americans who are displeased with what is occurring in Washington now with more spending, more debt, more regulations and not listening to what the people want. it was made up of people from all political parties, not just one nor was it ’sponsored’ by Fox News, they were just the only channel to actually and factually report on it. i flipped through channels to see for myself.

    consider yourself corrected.

well i think you mean it wasnt supposed to be politically aligned to any party – thats true. but then what happened was some of the right wing mainstream media started endorsing it to draw people back into the 2 party paradigm bullshit.

” this is not about fox news, we’ve got blacks, arabs, asians, democrats, whites, and republicans here”

I watched it for a whole hour and saw the same white-catholic knuckle heads rambling on about the exact same thing republicans have been saying about Obama for the past 8 months.

    I didn’t see A SINGLE BLACK PERSON.

I only saw 1 asian lady.. and certainly no atheists.

    Bi-partisan , my @ss !

The press has tried to make the tea party a partisan event, they have evolved away from reporting and moved to opinion.

There is a lot at stake, both parties were roundly booed at our gathering.

Yes and No. Everyone was invited who agreed that the government has gone over the line on spending and taxing. That the Bush and Now Obama policies are out of control and verging on fascism (Government control of private industry). Since the issue is political it would be impossible for it not to be a political event. But were Democrats, Independents, Conservatives, Libertarians, Liberals invited? Yes it was an anti Socialism Communism, and Fascism demonstration that America is not ready or willing to give up and give in to a small group of fanatics who want to destroy what most of us think of as the American WAY.

I attended 2 Tea parties and we Attacked (protested) Government as a whole both Parties, Republicians and Democrats. But the issues at hand were of a more Conserative view, less spending less government less contol ect. ect. which if thats not your cup of TEA then you won’t like it.

Fox News recruited and supports the so called Tea Party host, Glen Beck, a racist, extremist, President Obama bashing Republican, another Rush Limbaugh. Glen has his own show extremist show “The Fusion of Entertainment and Enlightenment” program that bashes everything the Democrats’ stand for or do.

Fox News is a Republican conservative station where as MSNBC is the more liberal and grass roots public station. Fox News casters stated on the station that they support the Tea Party movement. Richard Bruce “Dick” Cheney, Ex Vice President, is one of the organizers of the so called Tea Party and now on Monday on Fox News he will tell the public what he wants and expects to come out of the non political Tea Party events. **** Cheney blasted Clinton and others for interfering in political issues during the George Bush administration claiming that they are damaging their ability to run the country. Now **** Cheney is doing exactly what he spoke out against.

The Tea Party does not represent America or Americans and certainly not “grass roots” Americans. What you see is the wealth conservative front, staging a last cry for attention because they are losing billions of dollars in money they never should have had in the first place. They will do anything and every thing the can to fool you and lead the public back into financial slavery. A point taken by others: There were no minorities at the Alamo Tea Party. Why? Because there are very few minorities in the Republican party and fewer of them, if any, are billionaires in America.

It should be renamed “The Texas Tea Party Republican Movement”

It appears that the tea party was mostly supported by Republicans who lost this last election to the Democrats and they are not happy about it. They are also not happy with the economy, unemployment, the bank bailouts and high taxes. They blame the Democrats and recently elected President Obama for all of this all. However, they conveniently forget that all of this was caused by eight years of Bush’s Republican polices that have affected everything, especially the economy.
