heat a little water 2 cups is fine to boiling; then place in the sink that is clogged; to it add 1 c of baking soda; & then add 1 c of vinegar; it will have a ‘volcano’ effect; bubbling up & over everything so be sure that the pan is in the sink to begin with or you will end up with a huge mess; part of it will go down the drain; empty the rest & let it do it’s thing for about 1/2 hour; then try flushing with water; (next time, use a strainer for your tea if you have one; if not, a simple light weight rag or coffee filter will work! You can also get “tea balls” that hold your loose leaf tea inside of it; to put in your cup or tea pot for tea! I got both the strainer & the tea ball at thrift stores for pennies; good luck on getting your drain unclogged!
get a bucket and under the sink take the p-trap apart. it’s the part that looks like the letter J right under the sink. most likely the tea has gotten jammed in there and needs to be cleaned out. put the bucket underneath before you remove it as it’s full of water and it may be kind of gross so you’ll probably want to wear gloves.
no a plumber is not required, Go to your local hardware store and ask for some caustic soda, its quite strong and will unclog a drain of anything. I have used it many times for all sorts of clogs on drains toilets and plumbing
