True, but if you look at it from the perspective that everything is just a dream, then everyone there is just a part of her psyche. Which means that she is concocting all the hostility herself. It makes sense, from the perspective of an english school girl, that she would think that way, since everyone is always trying to order her around; notice how she snaps to attention when the caterpillar says “Recite!” Wonderland is like an extreme, stylized reproduction of how she views reality.
Also, the term ‘Mad Hatter’ was coined because they used to make hats with lead, and the hat makers, or hatters, would often become delusional from lead poisoning over time.
MUTHDARD! MUTHDARD? no! lets don’t be silly
hahaha..
do you notice @ the end when they are carrying the rabbit away, they chuck him up and he sorta flys away?
BAHAHA
To those wondering the 10/6 on his hat is 10 shillings and 6 pence, which is roughly 100 dollars today. Also the march hare in the book states that the hat is neither his nor anyone else’s. Stating that he may have bought it to sell.

The mad hatter and march hare are two of the few characters in wonderland who aren’t *** hole’s to Alice. They’re just merely nuts.
