Well, I assume you know that it was not usual for the Romans to have tea, and what you’re describing is an “orgy” and trying to avoid the term because of the sexual connotations it’s developed over the years?
Romans ate in a sort of “picnic” atmosphere — laying on blankets or pillows on the floor, or if they were rich, reclining on couches. There were no forks, all eating was done with hands. Food would have been served in bowls, plates and trays much like now. shows some uncovered Roman tableware to give you ideas.
