verna

1. Use filter (i.e. Swiss Gold infuser)
2. Place approx. a teaspoon of green tea leaves inside.
Be sure to leave enough room for the leaves to expand
as this releases the tea's flavor.
3. Use filtered and/or spring water and bring to 185
 degrees. DO NOT BOIL.
4. Add water to leaves and steep two to three minutes.
5. Pour and enjoy!

Note: Some green teas you can infuse (add water) several times. Experiment and enjoy the process.

jacob

the only thing to remember with green tea is:

Don't pour the boiling water on the leaves - boil the water, then let it sit 2-3 mins till the temp comes down a coupla degrees. Now pour it over the leaves. If you use boiling water, the tea will become bitter.

Btw - the native drinkers usually throw away the first batch (meaning they pour the water, let the tea brew a few mins, pour the water out but not the leaves, and pour fresh hot water over it again. Only then do they drink it....of course you should try this once, but it's not a rule ; )

THere is nothing especially healthy about green tea. It's just an herbal fad.

what difference does it make? it's not like boiling water creates extra calories.

ospe

Brew it while eating an apple...not a candy bar. Candy is bad for you. Also make sure the floor is dry. You do not want to slip while making it. That could be un healthy to. And my last tip is...if your gonna have *** while brewing green tea please use a condom. Those are my safety tips.
